The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability recently organized an activity as part of a global initiative to educate people about their rights in Palestine, with a specific focus on maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Children enthusiastically joined us to celebrate the right to live in a clean environment. They embarked on a delightful tour of the botanical garden, marveling at the beauty of flowers and the fluttering butterflies. Equipped with exploration kits, they delved into the secrets of nature! After the tour, the children got their hands dirty by removing unnecessary herbs and harvesting fresh lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, thyme, and lemons to make a delicious salad and fresh lemon juice. Notably, some of these vegetables were planted during our previous activity in October.
This hands-on experience imparted valuable lessons to the kids about the importance of keeping our environment clean and highlighted how taking care of nature brings many positive returns.
