As part of Bethlehem University’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Marketing and Communications office’s Alumni Relations Unit organized a special reunion for the alumni on Thursday, 21 September 2023.
Over 400 graduates gathered in the university’s amphitheater for this event. Haneen Musleh, the Alumni Relations Officer, led the ceremony, which commenced with a moment of silence followed by the Palestinian national anthem.
Welcome speeches were delivered by Brother Peter Bray, Vice Chancellor, Rev. Dr. Iyad Twal, Executive Vice President, and Hanna Hanania, Mayor of Bethlehem, along with speeches from the ceremony’s sponsors, including representatives of the Jala Group, Mada Company, and Harbawi Company.
The program featured a musical performance, a poem presented by one of the university graduates, and a traditional Dabke dance. A video of historical photos showcasing the university’s evolution and student life through the years was accompanied by the playing of the Bethlehem University anthem. As the event drew to a close, a raffle was held, offering various prizes contributed by local companies. Subsequently, a reception provided the graduates with an opportunity for networking and further interaction.
