Rare Book “Wild Flowers of the Holy Land” Digitized

The Zbierski Library at Bethlehem University has recently digitized a rare book titled “Wild Flowers of the Holy Land” written by Mrs. Hannah Zeller, with a preface by H. B. Tristram and an introduction by Edward Atkinson. It was originally published in 1876 by James Nisbet in London, United Kingdom.

This book is a remarkable work compiling fifty-four stunning color plates of wild flowers of the Holy Land, drawn and painted after nature. Each illustration is captioned in English, French, German and Latin. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. Scholars believe, that this work is important enough to be preserved, reproduced, and made generally available to the public.
