Bethlehem University celebrated the Feast of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, the Patron Saint of All Teachers, with a special Mass held in the Chapel of the Divine Child on Saturday, 13 May 2023.
The Mass was presided over by Rev. Dr. Iyad Twal, Executive Vice President, and was attended by esteemed guests, including the administration, faculty, staff, board of trustees’ members, and the Faculty and Staff of other Lasallian schools in the Holy Land.
Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray warmly welcomed everyone and highlighted Bethlehem University’s ongoing commitment to serving the Palestinian people by providing distinguished education that shapes a leading generation to guide the future of Palestine.
During the Mass, the De La Salle Christian Brothers renewed their vows, reaffirming their dedication to the mission entrusted to them. They follow in the footsteps of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, carrying forward his legacy of education and the dissemination of knowledge.
Following the spiritual ceremony, a special recognition took place to honor faculty and staff members who were retiring or celebrating significant anniversaries of service to Bethlehem University. Their commitment and dedication to the institution were acknowledged, and they received well-deserved awards.
To conclude the festivities, all attendees were invited to a delightful luncheon buffet prepared by the students of the Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism.
