Bethlehem University and Al-Aqsa University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, 1 June 2022. The MoU aimed at serving the people of Palestine in Gaza in the area of Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) educational courses and strengthening the Chain of Survival.
Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray and the Acting President of Al-Aqsa University Dr. Ayman Subih signed the MoU virtually over Zoom in the presence of Mrs. Mariam Samara Awad, Dean of the Tarek Juffali Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences, Mr. Nouraldin Talbishi, Clinical Simulation Center AHA ITC Coordinator at Bethlehem University, in addition to Dr. Radwan Abu Rukba, Dean of International Office at Al-Aqsa University and Dr. Ayoub Aldalou, Dean of Faculty of Medical Sciences at Al-Aqsa University.
By this agreement, a new American Heart Association (AHA) training site will be established at Al-Aqsa University that will be affiliated with the Clinical Simulation Center AHA International Training Center – Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences at Bethlehem University. Upon establishing this training site, more lay rescuers, healthcare students, and healthcare providers will be trained on several Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) educational courses and strengthen the Chain of Survival according to the latest AHA guidelines and through high-fidelity simulation training equipment.
