Through the Zurrub Teacher Resource Center, the Department of Early Childhood Education organized five workshops from Thursday, 10 March 2022, until Monday, 21 March 2022, for 100 teachers from public and private schools.
These workshops focused on how to use the game (How Do you Feel – شدة كيف حالك) in teaching and learning children in Preschool and Lower Basic School. This game was created by Dr. Jacqline Sfeir who worked at the University (1985 -2003). During her work at Bethlehem University in different positions, Dr. Sfeir worked actively on shifting the process of education away from the transmission of knowledge to rational thinking and production of knowledge.
Dr. Hala Al-Yamani, the Chairperson of the Department, and Ms. Bayan Bello, the Supervisor of the Early Childhood Program in the Directorate of Education, welcomed the participants and opened the workshops by introducing Dr. Sfeir and her achievements to the participants. Moreover, 100 games (شدة كيف حالك) were distributed to 100 schools in the Bethlehem area.
