The Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism organized an educational hiking trip in June for third and fourth-year students.
The trip was organized in cooperation with Palestine hiking trails and funded by the Institute’s Italian partners The International Committee for the Development of Peoples (Comitato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo dei Popoli – CISP).
The educational trip aimed to introduce ecotourism to students and to stress the importance of having alternative tourism for rural areas. It also introduced the students to types of accommodation offered by the people living within the trails such as home-stays and guest houses.
The students understood the importance of sustainable tourism and the need for applying it.
