In cooperation with the Arabic Department, the Dean of Students Office organized a discussion entitled “Bethlehem University students’ Literary Creativity” on Thursday, 11 February 2021.
Student Hala Natsheh read from her story which won first place in the short story competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in partnership with the Palestinian Universities every year.
Hala expressed her thanks and gratitude for the support provided by the university through its professors and the Dean of Student Office. She explained how she was affected by the story of the Deir Yassin massacre, the unforgettable pain.
The Dean of Students, Mr. Adnan Ramadan, stressed the importance of supporting and developing students’ abilities, skills, and creativity.
The Chair of the Arabic Department, Dr. Said Ayyad, addressed an analytical reading in Hala’s story. Dr. Ziyad Banishamsa, provided another reading on the techniques and tools of the story.
It is worth noting that student Ayat Obeidat had ranked 12th for her story of the Deir Yassin massacre, “The Lost Key”, in the same competition.
