Bethlehem University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Environment Quality Authority on Monday, 07 December 2020, at the Palestine Museum of Natural History.
The Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray and the Head of the Environment Quality Authority Mr. Jameel Mattor signed the MoU in the presence of the Director General of Natural Resources Dr. Issa Musa, the Director of the Bethlehem office Hashem Salah, in addition to the Director of Palestine Museum of Natural History Prof. Mazin Qumsiyeh and the staff of the Museum and the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability.
The MoU aimed to strengthen aspects of cooperation in the field of the environment, preservation, and protection of natural heritage and biodiversity in the fields of scientific and legal research and studies. It also aimed to spread environmental awareness among groups of society, especially students.
A coordination committee will be formed in order to follow up on the implementation of the articles of the memorandum and formulate events and joint implementation strategies.
