On Wednesday, 15 May 2019, Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray welcomed Dr. Pedro Blanco, the Representative of Mexico in Palestine, on his first visit to Bethlehem University since assuming office in September 2018.
Vice President for Advancement, Brother Denis Loft; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Irene Hazou; Communications Officer, George Rishmawi; and Brother Alejandro Cerna who is from Mexico attended the meeting.
After a short introductory film about the University, Brother Peter explained the history and mission of Bethlehem University.
Brother Denis Loft presented the University’s latest development projects and focused on the expansion of the Faculty of Nursing and Bethlehem University Tourism Institute.
Dr. Irene then spoke about the University’s academic programs and the possibility of cooperation with Mexican universities.
Dr. Blanco expressed interest in increasing cultural and academic cooperation with Bethlehem University, as the University has a special history due to its location.
Dr. Blanco went on a tour around campus where he visited the Clinical Simulation Center at the Faculty of Nursing.
