Bethlehem – Palestine, On 8 February 2012, Mr. Munib R. Masri, a well respected Palestinian philanthropist, honored Bethlehem University, with a visit. Accompanying Mr. R. Masri was his daughter, Ms. Dina R. Masri, and Ms. Hind Khoury, former Palestinian Ambassador to Paris and Minister for Jerusalem. The guests were warmly received by Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Fuad Kattan, along with the members of the Executive Council of Bethlehem University.

Brother Peter Bray thanked Mr. Masri for his visit and keen interest in and support of higher education in Palestine. Mr. Munib R. Masri and Ms. Dina R. Masri spoke of the efforts and mission of the Munib R. Masri Development Foundation to advance society through the improvement of people’s skills and the environment in which they live. Brother Peter Bray expressed his gratitude to Mr. Munib R. Masri for his support and endorsement, acknowledging Mr. R. Masri’s encouragement of the people of Bethlehem and the surrounding areas, both local and in the Diaspora, having “a duty to help this university, an obligation and accomplishments of which one must be proud.”
