Nursing Students conduct a workshop in Ramallah
A group of 4th year students conducted a workshop for staff nurses and head-nurses in “Ramallah Palestinian Complex” on Sunday, 23 February concerning Errors in Medication. The workshop started with a role-play presentation, then the students distributed a worksheet about “Fishbone analysis “ to the head-nurses in order to analyze errors of medication. Posters prepared by the students about the 6 medication rights were given to the head-nurse in each ward. The workshop evaluation revealed a great success.
The Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences invited Dr Mohamad Rizik, the Director of Bethlehem Health Center to a give lecture to third year Nursing students, entitled “Services provided by the health center and its role in promoting the health of the people”. He emphasized health education and it’s role in the prevention of diseases. He urged young people not to consume products that are harmful to health, since it’s a main source of causes of diseases, especially chronic ones. He also stressed that eating supplement, such as XL and other beverages, may cause sterility or infertility among young people.
